project FUNDING

As you may already know, Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) covering three main pillars:

  • Excellent Science
  • Societal Challenges
  • Industrial Leadership

If you want to learn more about Horizon 2020 and the up-coming Horizon Europe (2021–2027) programmes, here are some useful resources:

Within the Excellent Science pillar, one type of bottom-up actions are Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) that provide grants (over €6 billion from 2014 to 2020) for all stages of a researcher’s career. One of the most attractive types of MSCA grants are Individual Fellowships (IFs) available to experienced researchers from all over the world and for research in any area.
